Road to Toowoomda

The Toowoomba Marathon is looming. Only 5 more days. As I have said previously, I haven't done any marathon specific training so it will be a steady as she goes sort of marathon. I am just trying to think of it as a long training run. I just hope that the weather is better than last year. I don't really want to be running in the cold, wind and rain.

I did a 15K run yeasterday and didn't feel all that great, so it will be an interesting marathon.

How can it be cold, windy and rainy up there Eddie?!

Having no expectations will keep you relaxed. I'm looking forward to the report.

It would be good if it was rainy. We need it. But I can't see it being cold with the weather we had on the week end.

Hope you have a good training run.

Best of luck Eddie. You will be fine. Just listen to the body.

Interesting observation there from Ewen about the expectations angle. You have been running well this year Eddie. I know you have been sick recently but maybe that too is a blessing in disguise. Good luck with the run and I am keen to hear how you go.

I'm sure you'll be fine. In fact with no pressure on yourself you'll probably have a great run. So, is with the water restrictions is it BYO water? I'd be wary of drinking theirs anyway, they might be in the first stages of testing thier recycled stuff :-)

I hope you enjoy your marathon and have a great race. I think that taking it like a long training run will work and will be interested to read your race report.

Go Eddie Go!
