You wouldn't think I was training for a marathon if you saw me running yesterday. I was taking it pretty easy. In fact it took me 1:40 to run a whole 18K. I had better start getting serious.
On McMillan's Calculator for a 3:16 Marathon, the target pace range for Long Runs is 4:58 to 5:35. You just sneek in at the slower end there. But 18k is probably a fairly short Long Run.
Don't be too hard on yourself Eddie. You have had a fairly tough month with a Marathon and a Half in that time. Listen to your body and you will back running strongly in no time at all.

Be good to see you out on the road sometime soon Eddie, thanks for the email. I am back from hibernation now. :)

I hope to do the GC Mara and you are running a lot further than me. Does that make you feel any better :-)
