Easy Week

Susan has given us an easy week this week. Monday - rest, Tueasday - 10 klm easy - I did this in 59:19, Wednesday - 12 klm - 58:18 for me, Thursday - 10 klm including fartleks - 48:28 for me. Tomorrow is rest, Saturday - 5 klm and Sunday 20 klm. Total 57 k for the week.

The lull before the storm. Next week is 85 k, then 94 k and the week beginning 19th Feb will be 100k. Phew! I am exhausted just thinking about it.

Heya, glad to run across your training blog. I have a blog where I am trying to play 365 sets of tennis in a year. I've trained for 10K races before but not yet for a marathon. Maybe next year that's what I'll do. :-)

Hmmmm, easy week sounds good. Though I guess you have to do some hard weeks to earn it. Bummer.

Will you be incorporating BRRC "Bring A Friend" day in the 20k on Sunday? You know Clairie is race director, she will never forgive you if you don't come along. And if you don't bring a friend.

Welcome to the +55 group and yes it does seem to get tougher as there are some very good 'mature' runners out there and they never to be slow.

Stick with the program and I am sure you will be rewarded with a great run at Canberra. we all have bad training days for reasons that are unknown. Do as you have done just move on and focus on the next session and don't worry about what happened in the last session.

Yes Eddie, I expect to see you down there this Sunday.

BTW, enjoy the easy week. By the sound of things it will be over shortly and the long days will be here - not to mention the weather seems to be heating up too!

Oh but don't let that put you off (hee hee hee)

Wow - that's a nice easy week Eddie. Even I could manage to keep up on your Tuesday 10k :)

You'll be itching to get into the next 3 weeks after Sunday.

Yes, enjoy the easy ones Eddie and all the best for what is to come. It wont hold any fears for you as you have been there before and I know you are strong mentally and physically. You will thrive, and enjoy the ride too!

Thanks again for your most recent comments on my blog which meant a great deal to me. A new post is coming in the next few days.
